GWL Publishing is delighted to announce its latest publication, The Truth and Nothing but Lies by Chéri Vausé.
The novel, available from 19th May as a paperback and Kindle, is a mystery romance, centred around FBI Special Agent in Charge, Grantham ‘Grant’ Greene, and his investigation into a series of bombings, targeting Women’s clinics in Washington and Oregon. Pressured for results by both his ambitious father, the press and his incompetent boss, Grant is given just one weekend to solve the crime.
Into this charged atmosphere, comes the haunting presence of Lara Crawford, a young woman who is believed to have committed suicide, but whom Grant knows to be somehow involved in his case. His growing attachment to her, despite her death, leave him wondering whether it’s possible to fall in love with someone you have never met and with whom you have no chance for a future.
In an atmospheric novel full of twists and turns, Chéri has created a protagonist who is at once charming, beguiling and human. He doubts himself but never those around him and, even when his beliefs and trust are tested to the limits, he remains true to himself.
“As a counsellor at Birthright,” says Cheri, “I had the opportunity to help the women and men who came to our office deal with their personal tragedies in a constructive way, and to assist them financially when necessary. Today, I became their voice in The Truth and Nothing but Lies. For their sake, it is tale whose time has come.”
Steve Lawrance, co-founder of GWL Publishing, commented: “We are delighted to be able to bring The Truth and Nothing but Lies to the market. It’s a fast-paced mystery thriller, in which the message doesn’t get lost, but doesn’t dominate either. We’ve enjoyed working with Chéri on this project and look forward to the success of this book and her future novels.”
